Built for dog eyes and ears

Colors dogs see

Dogs have two kinds of color cones, so blue and yellow stay vivid while red and green turn muddy brown. Every scene uses only these.

Sky Sea Sun Ice Outline

Shapes that stand out

Thick dark outlines and flat fills with no busy texture, so a moving shape is easy to pick out against snow or water.

Motion with a purpose

Play clips move fast and side to side, the way prey moves. Calm clips drift slowly upward and never dart.

Toy sounds, no talking

Squeaks, pops, boings and whistles tuned like squeaky toys, over soft chimes or ocean waves. No human voices.

Left out on purpose

Doorbells, knocking, barking, growls and sirens. These are the sounds that make dogs bark at the TV or run to the door.

Original cast

Pip, a yellow pup-seal, and Puddle, a blue one, plus fish, balls and bubbles. Inspired by what works on screen, not copied from any show.

Test it with your dog

  1. Use the biggest screen you have, at your dog's eye level. Cast this page or plug in a laptop, then press fullscreen.
  2. Play both free clips (10 minutes) and watch. Staring, head tilts and following the screen are good signs. Barking or pacing means lower the volume or try the calm clip.
  3. Note which clip held attention longest. That's the first one to remake as AI video.
